All the good sites will end in ".onion".

The Congress is a bunch of 40 year old idiots who don't know how to operate something. If SOPA becomes more precise and less oppresive I will be fine with it happening, I have no problem with stopping pirates but the way they are doing it is not good, I don't give one flying fuck that they "Don't have the time to go and moderate every pirate claim", we need more jobs, hire a national moderating team!

Porn sites should jump on this bandwagon. Imagine the internet with no porn. I'm betting the US economy would take a skydive.

Actually that's a good idea. Forget google and facebook, just block all the gay porn sites for a week and I bet all those married politicians will be begging to throw the bill out.

You are asking furries ito read.

Dramatization of what may happen:

Furry 1: THE SITE WENT DOWN. DRAGONEER IS SO FAIL!!

Common sense furry: If you read the page, it tells you why the site is out. It isn't down to technical issues it's--

Furry 1: THAT'S JUST AN EXCUSE FOR DRAGONEER TO COVER HIS ASS BECAUSE THE SERVER WENT DOWN, FA IS SO FULL OF FAIL I AM GOING TO INK BUNNY!!!

To continue:

Furry 1 goes to InkBunny, then SoFurry, then Furotica, discovers all of them are down: OMG FURSECUTION BAWWWWW!!!

All we need to do is make a Facebook page and get over a million people to like it and we'll have ourselves a done deal. :V

Maximum Awesome.
The only thing keeping me sane is Obama's promise to veto the bill. I might not agree with him on a number of matters, but he still has my trust.

If it passes... well, we're going to see a huge spike in downloads of Tor. The Hidden Wiki will probably be down for a while, too.

Didn't Obama first promise to veto that terrible "the US military can imprison anyone, anytime, anywhere with no trial" thing and then refuse to do it?

What happened to that anyways? I kinda lost track of that bill.

Short version it went through anyhow, but Obama isn't going to use the power. The downside is if a republican(depends which one) wins the election this year you bet your ass they're going to use it left and right.

Haha ok so the bill that killed due process went through. I see some serious hope for the internet law to cause a ruckus. Don't Americans give a shit anymore?

Alot do still care about the country, it's just that every day it's seeming less like congress is just being morons and more like they're trying to purposefully destroy the country.
Call me a conspiracy theorist, but it's as if they have money riding on the usa going to shit.

what bill
The ndaa bill had a provision to allow the military to indefinitely detain suspected terrorists without a trial regardless if they are non-americans or americans.

"Vote for me and nobody will be indefinitely detained! Well, for the next four years, anyway. After that, who the hell knows?"

Dream a little dream of me..
Ugh, I'm so tired of hearing my boyfriend and his friends acting like they need to start a war with SOPA. Every time I get online he's like "May as well just quit your tails now because you won't be able to do them soon"

I'm like

"Shut up, SOPA can do whatever the hell it wants, internet will be back. The world (And especially the USA) runs off of the internet and public information. Sopa can't do anything without a huge shitfest."

I would love to see these companies practically shut down the interwebs for a day, but on the downside I may just go insane. Oh well, so long as FAF doesn't do the same thing.
