"Sorry Hadji" (possible sneak peak for a comic)

[I purposely deleted the picture, PM me to see it]

Probably one of my better drawings.
This scenario is basically what I might put in a comic, my fursona personally killing a NKLA scumbag up-close and personal.

So what do you guys think of it? I think I could of done better with the fur shading could be better, and I think that the revolver and the K-bar could use some work. And I wasn't that great at drawing humans.

Are we moomin, or are we dancer?
It literally is like a 5 year old drawing themselves killing people they don't like. Good for you, I guess?

I mean, I don't like Kim Jong un, so I guess I'll draw a crayon picture of my fursona fucking him up the arse.

I'd hate to barge in and belittle your work. But, the fox isnt using the 10- foot rule regarding Guns vs Knives. Its going be okay anyways since the NKLA personnel member is too worried about the gun so GG.

Other than that, will you consider using digital to create your comic or retain hand drawn? Either way, its not crap at all.

The circumstances forced Ivan (the fox) to get dangerously close to the NKLA dude, I'm probably going to stick with handrawn, since that I don't have a digital art program, and I usually suck at digital art

How old are you? I want to check I'm not being unduly rude.

I'm 15, but I live in one of the most politically conservative cities in the entire United States, so yes I could get away with a drawing like that one in my neck of the woods.

but on the internet? That's a different story I suppose

Politics isn't an excuse.

Your image sucks because it looks like it was drawn by a chimp.

Thank you for the honesty.

but do any of you guys can at least give me a list of stuff to improve on instead of "it's sucks"

I DID give you advice. I gave you the link to two books that I thought would help you make a comic.

But if you want something to practice for free. Ctrlpaint has many tutorials

As I tell many new artists is that they focus too much on making the edges of their characters, instead of drawing the character as whole, and breaking the design down to simple forms

here is the video link list that I have shared many times:

There's a lot of self taught artists out there, it's really more dependent on how much you want to learn and how far you want to go! :3 This is a pretty generic answer, but I recommend studying figures and people (from rl, pictures, videos - all have their advantages :p) to get the hang of the human body better. As well, Vilppu is amazing when it comes to gestures and showing how to imagine objects in space. He's got some good exercises to practice too for giving your art more flow.

I was basically a self-taught artist, very little "schooling"

So am I... Though it is not an excuse to depict the murder of a muslim (because, yeah all we know from his guy is that he says "Allahu Akbar").
You might want to learn a bit more about drawing basics, and open your mind as the same time.

Yes I will agree that I need to secularize the NKLA. And be better at drawing.

if you think that's a crappy and closed mind drawing, you should see the drawing I made at an Army Vet request one time. He liked it, but I can tell I would get a massive backlash to it if I posted it here, that's why I'm not posting it

It could just be Satire? It would give his comic a controversial edge. I wouldn't personally suggest a 15-year old to do this.

As for his art, his drawings could always improve thanks to Maugryph's posts.

Just to err on the side of caution.. I removed the hotlink to your image.

You still have a lot to improve on. If you want to make a comic, go right ahead, heck your skills will probably improve the more you draw it. But you shouldn't expect any fanfare at all when you first start, especially not with how the art looks like currently. You should also have a good long think about the plot and the characters.

I am glad you removed it, I'm regretting about making this thread.

and yes I'm going to try to improve on my artwork, and trying to beef up my plot before getting serious about the comic

That the spirit! This video will give you some encouragement on the bumpy road of becoming an artist: http://youtu.be/QGwZIoBTFXY
