Tablet suggestions?

So I have a Huion Pro610 and when it works, it's great. Suits my needs perfectly well.

When it works.

I have done literally everything recommended of it. Uninstalled drivers, reinstalled from the website with the firewall down. Unplugged, replugged, used different USB ports, reset computer, etc. The whole shebang. And sometimes it'll work great for days, and sometimes I fight with it for three hours when all I wanted to do was do some commission drawings. The drivers will show up and just turn off, making it unusable. Apparently, this just tends to happen with Huions.

What with tax time coming up, I was hoping to be able to save for a new tablet, one that doesn't do this and one that doesn't break the bank. Have any suggestions for me?

I honestly recommend getting an iPad. A 2017 version iPad is about $200-$300. I recommend the app Sketchclub because it has many of the qualities found in photoshop and illustrator (it also has live streaming and a community). Another app I would recommend is Procreate.

I use a wacom manga ! It's a pretty decent price and i've never had problems with mine ( i have it since 2015)
i find it very comfortable and easy to use (however i'm maybe not a great reference since it's the only tablet i've ever tried, i mean, i'm not going to replace it if it works like a charm :p )
it's around 80 € but i've seen prices between 60 and 100 €

The stylus has 2 buttons and 2 ends, the tablet has 4 buttons, at the top, not on the side like the huion (i personally never use those but I know it's a crucial detail for some)
I Don't know how they're sold now but when i got mine Clip Studio Paint was offered with it, which is a great deal in my opinion considering how good it is

hope this helps :D

I can't speak for the quality of Huion or these other chinese tablets, but Wacom has worked well for me. What I suggest is to get a medium or large tablet and get a half keyboard like this

This way you always have your left hand on shortcuts and shortcut combinations CTRL, ALT, SHIFT, SPACE, Z, X, C and V. This will let you do everything from change brush size, zoom in, sample, drag, pan, draw straight lines, copy, paste and so on. Very important.

Anything from Wacom is good, I've made a living off of their itsy bitsy intro sized tablets for years.
The only caveat is maybe avoid the intuos 5 series as it doesnt play well with Win 10 (has odd stuttering pressure issues).

The more line art based the larger/higher resolution the tablet, painted art can work with lower less.
Aside from that there are some tablet monitor options out there, the 19inch Ugee and Huion are sub $400 and seem to work fine.
