I want to favorite submissions of those who have blocked me for stupid or unknown reasons, but I cannot because appearantly the "+fav" feature relies on user data. a fave is way different than just a string of text on a comment section or a shout page or a notes page, furaffinity needs to extend their compassion to those on the receiving end of the block feature, as some blocked users in my situation may feel like they are being dehumanized, to users who mean absolutely no harm whatsoever, the block feature can be extremely devastating. more information can be said in the description of this submission:

OKAY FOLKS!! I GOT YOUR 95-THESIS ON WHY THE BLOCK FEATURE IS BENEFICIAL, I'M CURED!! I'M CURED!!

There is nothing "dehumanizing" by blocking someone you don't want to interact with let alone don't to see the content of.

and how it is devastating it is to those who mean no harm whatsoever, I am just someone trying to abolish cancel culture in the furry fandom,

People are allowed to block for any reason. It doesn't have anything to do with cancel culture. If someone is getting harassed there's no reason to have their stalker be able send notifications that their art has been faved.

There are a lot of artists here. How many of them need to block you so that you have difficulty viewing content? I don't see a problem, this function is useful.
In addition, the constant repetition of the fact that you do not want to harm anyone makes doubt the veracity of these words.

but I want to favorite people's arts because I love their work, in my proposed version of the block feature, the blocker doesn't have to be notified of the "stalker" faving their stuff, and their names are invisible until they are unblocked

so say this
"Yo, so, block system a thing, but I don't think it should stop people from faving art."
gets your point across much better, and sounds a lot more, well, sane

I just simply like having artwork added to my faves list, blocked users have no problem viewing the artpiece, but when they try to press the fave button, It's a nasty surprise!! I was a person who didn't even intend to offend anybody, I may have done some stuff without context like cracking an innocent joke during an art trade, but it's saddening that they block you before you can even apologise!!

I feel the issue here is the fact that you can see the content of someone who has you blocked. This would terminate this problem at the source.
how WOULD it terminate the problem at the source? I only see your solution making things worse for a blocked user,

I realise the frustration of being blocked and not being able to do things, but in the end no one OWES you anything, which includes access to their art.

People do not need a reason to block someone. The block feature is there to be used for whatever people wish to use it for and sad to say, you don’t get to determine what someone does and who they block.

I’m sure many of the people I have blocked on many websites are fine people indeed, but I’m allowed to cater my online experience to what I want to see and interact with, and if that means someone gets blocked, well it’s not up to that person to decide what I do.

Them blocking you isn’t dehumanising. You thinking you have a right to access art of people who have blocked you is entitlement at its finest. Sorry to say but you are not the one to determine whether something caters to you.

Best thing you can do is block them back and move on instead of making yourself miserable over thinking you should be able to have access to something that wasn’t made for you in the first place.

Truth hurts sometime.

I am talking about being able to press the fave button, yes no one owes me anything but It's a fave button, It lets others know you love their artwork, the text above the blocklist in settings makes it sound like the user you have blocked is only prohibited from talking to you, but when they try to press that fave button they get a nasty surprise,

what does furaffinity think I'm gonna do? fave submissions with their titles in the acronym of a sentence? I'm just saying that the block feature is too harsh to bear for people who love faving arts and that it needs to be fixed so that the user is only prohibited from talking to the person who has blocked them, I've had to put a warning on my page that states: "whatever my brain spits out, please take into consideration that by blocking me, you are prohibiting me from favoriting your arts, I mean you no harm whatsoever and I love your work,"

PUBLIC submissions on PUBLIC art sites are for everyone to see,

do the words: "limited computer storage" strike terror in your heart? also what's with the evil face emoji icon in your comment?
it's his post signature, not actually a part of the comment

You seem to misunderstand what a block actually does. When someone blocks you, that means you don’t get to interact with ANYTHING of theirs, no matter if you think you should. It would not be a block if you only could not message or talk to them. When someone blocks you they don’t want you to interact with anything of theirs, whether you like it or not.

There are also thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of artists on FA you could go fave the art of. So why are you so pressed on a few blocking you when you can go fave someone else’s art? No one is stopping you from doing that, and if you misinterpreted the words above the block part of the site then that’s on you, not the people who have blocked you.

And yes, I saw your message on your page… but your attitude about people making their internet space to their liking is, once again, entitled bullshit that is entirely on you and not the people who blocked you. So you're gonna have to deal with it, you cannot decide for people what they want to do, lol

No, just because someone posts art on a public website doesn’t mean you get to determine what that means. That art still belongs to the artist, and if they don’t want you interacting with it, that is their decision, not yours.
