If you apply an electric current to a pickle, the salt in the pickle acts as a conductor. Therefor pickles glow in the dark.

You can generate electricity using potatoes. You can cause a dead frog's body to twitch using electricity. Therefore you can cause a dead frog's body to twitch using potatoes.

try having a massive surgical proceedure that itches after and you're not allowed to scratch it.
If you have a uvulopalatopharyngoplasty (yes, that's a real word, which is why most ppl use the abbreviation UPPP), you have to re-learn how to swallow. Plus it's one of the more painful surgeries you can get. Not fun!

Yeah it's the removal of the tonsils, the uvula and pretty much all of the soft tissue in the back of the throat they can. It's to attempt to cure sleep apnea. In my case it didn't work.

Thankfully CPAP technology has improved a LOT in the decade since I had that surgery and I can tolerate it now. The CPAP machine I had back then made me sound like Darth Vader and the hose wasn't heated so just as I was starting to fall asleep I'd shift position in bed and it'd dump a bunch of water on my face!
