The Pinbal Arcade is coming to PC! Simulations of real pinball tables!

Already available on iOS, OSX, Android, PS3/Vita and kinda sorta Xbox 360, the game is finally headed to PC via Steam on November 1st and I'm dying for it. There will be 36 pinball tables up for purchase since there's such a back log, and two more will be released every month. You can buy entire years worth as 'Season Passes' or buy each two table set for only $4.99 if you'd prefer to al a carte. I initially bought into this game on Xbox 360 but then something bad happened, patches were slow because MS has a slow and EXPENSIVE certification process. Their publisher went bankrupt when only ten tables had been released and Microsoft doesn't allow independent publishing. So the XBLA version has been in limbo since, getting no new tables. I've been dyeing for the PC version as Steam is VERY friendly to patches and with Steam Big Picture Mode I can even get my console experience on. I loved what I played on the Xbox but ten tables wasn't enough.

The best part is, all of the tables are real licensed pinball tables, Star Trek The Next Generation, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, and many others that you may have seen in real arcades before they were all converted into crack houses! The complete list of tables can be seen here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Pinball_Arcade#Published

Personally, I'm eager to get some ST:TNG on, I loved hearing Patrick Stewart declare 'All hands, prepare for multi-ball!'. :D Anyone want to compete for scores? :)

This sounds entirely relevant to my interests. I fucking miss the pinball machines I played as a kid. ;_;

Yeah I got the 360 version way back. Tons of fun and great for furfag gatherings.

Always loved the TNG machine, a friend of mine in Los Angeles has a loft with half a dozen pin ball machines including 3 of my all time faves. Terminator 2, TNG, and a castle one that I can never remember the damn name of. Thank goodness it's a loft or her neighbors would be driven to insanity with all the noise of her arcade collection XD

Especially the 90s ones, they had so many neat 'toys' and stuff on the table, they were a wonder to even look at. :)

Medieval Madness? I loved that one though I've never played it in real life. :(

Yes I believe that's it! It's super fun, I played the real one a ton as a kid in a mall arcade called 'TILT'. Its been just the game recently though but it's still fun untill we can get back to my friends house. She's super busy though so its hard to find a day where we can all hang out without work getting in our ways.

*sigh* Failed to release today. Some screw up involving how much it cost in different currencies and it couldn't be fixed for the end of the day. Release date could be as far as Monday. :/

I'm tired of waiting for this game. They were like 'Summer', 'July', 'August', 'Second week of Sept!' 'End of Oct!' 'November First, like, REALLY GUYS!'. Ugh. :/

That sucks, hope it gets worked out.

It's supposedly worked out now, from a TECHNICAL point, but not before their Steam rep (Who's in Europe, while the Devs are in the Western united states) stopped responding for the day (Possibly the weekend) and thusly can't push the release approval to the Steam store. :/

Disappointed because this weekend is free for me and I really had my heart set on it.

I'm loving this really. All the nostalgia and the devs are putting out regular patches over Steam. It's a lot better than the bungled Xbox 360 port, though the PS4 version has some AWESOME lighting that will hopefully be backported to the PC version. They said they're working on an enhanced DX11 version. They also patched it to include portrait mode support! :D

This is probably not useful to 99% of people... But yay!
