I believe our universe is a kernel of corn that came out of God's tremendous log of shit.

I'm a fan of the MIB theory, where our universe is simply in a small locker in a giant warehouse, some forgotten experiment.

The hell am I reading, here?
I object to the thread title. There is only one theory of evolution. Other "theories" are actually at best hypothesis but more commonly conjecture.

Meh. Never believed most of the shit in either science or religion. However, being in science classes, I realize many of its faults. Regardless, I think I will just stick to believing that there's someone up in the sky watching of us. Gives some people hope.

((Noticing a lot of "religion and beliefs" threads around here, lately...))

Yeah. I wish it would stop. If I want religion I'll go to church which ain't gonna happen.

True. We all have beliefs, but we really don't need to parade them around like this. People just get made fun of (but we're furries, so we're prolly used to it).

Some people take things to seriously, too.

Life consists of infinite lines of code and we are merely part of a very powerful processor. :p

"Theories"... Theories aren't just created out of nothing by some omnipotent being or force, you know. They start out as a lowly idea, then the ideas that aren't mercilessly devoured by logic evolve to become hypotheses. It takes some time for a hypothesis to become a theory, and not all of them make it through the transformation. Even after they become theories, they are still in danger of being eaten up or absorbed by other theories. The world of theories is a harsh one, where only the strong survive...

Oh wait, we're talking about the theories of evolution, not the evolution of theories, silly me.

I think evolution was the work of magical albino monkeys with rocketships and big black stones.

what

this thread is silly

evolution has never said anything about the origins of life; that's abiogenesis

Meh. Never believed most of the shit in either science or religion.
Refusing to believe science does not make you a rebel without a cause. Science tends to be based ultimately upon observation. If you disagree with some reasoning, fine, but don't just decide it's wrong because you don't like it.

Regardless, I think I will just stick to believing that there's someone up in the sky watching of us. Gives some people hope.
What is wrong with hope in your species? Why do you think so lowly of yourself that you need assurance that a magical man in the sky will fix everything for you?

Darwin still sits well with me.

The "you have the stupid traits you DIE OFF and only the STRONG live" makes a lot of sense as far as nature goes, anyway.

And yeah, evolution doesn't concern how everything started (ie, Big Bang theory).

That's...not what Darwin's theory says at all.

The strongest don't survive, the fittest survive.
