theories of evolution(what are yours scientifically or for fun)

That's...not what Darwin's theory says at all.

The strongest don't survive, the fittest survive.

Strongest in terms of the fit traits they have. If the creature doesn't have the traits that are suited to their environment, they die. Their beak isn't efficient enough, etc. Therefore, not 'strong' in terms of physical strength or hardiness, but strong in that the creature has what it takes, genetically, to survive in their given environment.

I was dumbing it down for my earlier post. :>

I think we were all simply sneezed out of someone's nose one day.

And if you get that reference, I will personally come over to your house and do whatever you wish.

what

this thread is silly

evolution has never said anything about the origins of life; that's abiogenesis

Refusing to believe science does not make you a rebel without a cause. Science tends to be based ultimately upon observation. If you disagree with some reasoning, fine, but don't just decide it's wrong because you don't like it.

What is wrong with hope in your species? Why do you think so lowly of yourself that you need assurance that a magical man in the sky will fix everything for you?

I didn't decide it was wrong, but do I not have a choice about shit in space that I, myself, have never witnessed?

And why the fuck would I put my hope in a human? They're about as unreliable as a bandit.

And quit constantly whining about me. It's getting annoying.

I object to the thread title. There is only one theory of evolution. Other "theories" are actually at best hypothesis but more commonly conjecture.

He's right. Evolution is the assumption of Darwin's theory, there are no other theorys of evolution. Other theories are alternates to evolution.

We no longer evolve , we have writen it out of our base code or atleast shut it off , our evolution now takes place in our machines , and it is a sad fact that we will soon hit a wall in our sciences that will have horrible effects on us and set us back from moving forward for a long time.

The hell am I reading, here?

Also, to the best of my knowledge, no other "alternative" has attained the right to be properly referred to as a theory.

More importantly, the less-than-fittest are not guaranteed to die off either.
You've just described the majority of my co-workers and customers. In a world so tied to ancient social fallacies, can we truly be said to be evolving, or are we in fact, devolving slowly, to the beat of a false moral drum?

Some say the world will end in fire. Some say in segfaults.

Also, my opinion on all this? Spiral power, baby. :kamina: Now, can I say that and actually contribute to the thread? Not really, but it was already going down in flames from the start. FAF's fun that way.
