Tips on when there's trouble with a seller??

So about 3 months ago now I bought an adopt called Erii from someone for $110. But they still haven't given me the characters files because they reply very very late and claim to be too busy and something crazy seems to go wrong on their end.

$110 is a lot of money for anything and I'm stressed out cause I can't get my money back. But they also don't seem to wanna give me the character files. I don't know if this is the place to ask for help but what do I do? Their name is Ditzyrawr and they seem to always be commissioning artists. But they switched to a new furaffinity account and terminated their old one. Now I can't even find them.

I've never posted on a forum before so I apologize if I posted this in the wrong place. This is like a customer's nightmare. I dunno why this is even happening.

there's not much you can do unless you hunt down their new account or absolutely can't get a refund from paypal.

however you can and probably should make a artist/buyer beware.

If its just 3 months ago you should be able to file a dispute, right?

If you can contact them at all, you should probably warn them that you're going to request a paypal refund. (that usually kickstarts some action from procrastinators) But if you can't contact them, then you probably want to file a dispute anyway, three months is way too long of a time to wait on art that's already done.

You're very right and I regret it because I paid them 30 as business on PayPal. Then I sent them 80 as friends and family on PayPal because I thought maybe that would be a nice thing to do. I don't know what went through my head ;^;

I already asked for my money back but they keep claiming theyre just having issues sending the files and that their mom is in the hospital and they were also in the hospital and this and that and somehow Google drive won't upload fast enough and email won't work and internet too slow. I'm basically at their mercy..

Ah if its friends and family you don't have any paypal protection. If you paid with a credit card or bank balance through paypal you could try a chargeback that way but if you paid with paypal balance there isn't really anything you can do about the extra $80 except hope they come through. Maybe if you mention disputing the $30 they will figure out a way to get you the files. Did you ask them if they tried to compress the files into a .zip or anything like that? (If you even still want the adopt at this point)
