To cute, or not to cute?

Do you prefer something more cute or something less cute?

Honestly. I love cute. That’s part of why I love this fandom. It’s so cute.

Even when it’s not really supposed to be it just seems so cute. I love the cuteness of it! I love the cute.

Hard to say! Personally I love ugly fursonas/characters especially ones in over the top ugly grotesque cartoony styles similar to FleeceRot but...Japanese kemono sonas are so cuuuuute. I think I like both but only the more extremes. It either has to be an ugly lumpy clusterfuck or a bug eyed squishy fantasy animal for me to truly be satisfied.

I come across a few fursonas trying very hard not to be cute, and I don't quite get their motivation. I can understand how excessive cutesyness could grate, but if you're not going to be at least a little playful and fun about things, then why would you be here?

Despite the reactions some see from me when excessive "cute" is around; I actually have quite a bit of love for cute aesthetics.

Issue is that I tend to find the excessive cute within this fandom to quite commonly be either annoying or just really creepy.
