Oh, I give alot of my main characters hair like that, including humans.

the type of hair style he is talking about is a person having long hair on the top of their head and short or shaved hair on the sides and back on their head. this kind of hair style is mostly associated with the emo/goth scene but the reasion you see it on a lot of furry characters is becouse anthros have big ears coming out of their heads which take up a large part of the space on their head so not much hair grows around their ears.
