Main Site Uploaded artwork's colours slightly faded/washed out?

Hello. I had a bit of an issue. When I upload the artwork and compare to the original, I noticed that the colours looked a bit washed out. I even tried uploading PNG. Same result, washed out a bit.
When I compare the original and the uploaded image fully on two tabs, I noticed the colour difference. The uploaded artwork doesn't look as vibrant as the original.
Even when I download the uploaded files and compared, I noticed it was indeed washed out.
I tried uploading JPG. Washed out. Even the PNG resized down slightly so it won't get resized. Again, washed out.
Anyone experienced this? Is this a bug of sorts?

I wouldn't be surprised if this had to do with all of the upload issues since the update, which still hasn't been acknowledged by any of the devs or staff. All uploaded images are being poorly recompressed.

Something in the image compression algorithm is screwing with the colours. This is also why PNGs and GIFs keep getting converted to JPEG.

the compression is so absurdly aggressive. it's ridiculous. i'm ready to give up on uploading to FA even though i swapped back over because of ol' muskie huskie letting the fascists back on. way to blow a potential fresh wave of users i guess.

It could be that the new resizer doesn't preserve the image's color profile information. You might be able to work around that by changing your image's color profile on export.

The system is removing color profiles. I'd recommend to make sure the exported artworks use sRGB color profile if possible. sRGB is the default for web, so it should work no matter what.
