Hehehe oookie!!!
Let's see... From where we do start?
All I can think of is in paleontology! Aaaaaa xD
Well let's see what I can write now
The canids: the most famous on the furry fandom (foxes and wolves) I can say many interesting things about them, like for example there's a very greeeaat variety of species in the family Canidae,
Some of them are The Wolves (Canis lupus, It's name comes from the latin for Canis; canis, dog [citation required] and lupus meaning Wolf) this species has a wide range of distribution, going from mexico through usa and canada, to the far asian continent into europe too.
This species is the most diverse of all with a lot of subspecies! Both living and extinct!
Like:
The Dog (Canis Lupus Familiaris)
The dog has a long evolutionary history. Though still uncertain, some researchers point that they coul've been evolved from the wild european wolves being domesticated by humans, or a different species on it's own that appeared before we started putting our hand on their breeding to make the subespecies [citation required]
The Coyote (Canis Latrans) the coyote's name comes from the aztec/nahuatl Cóyotl, that means "usurper" based on their sneaky behavior. With a slim complection this little canids do live from the furthest usa lications like Oregon into the south
almost reaching south america without being there actually
This animal has inspired many spirits and gods, the most prominent from aztec/mayan cultures is Huehuecóyotl, a deity depicted as the wisdom from elders and vitality of younger people, capable of changing it's gender too. [Citations needed]
Dingoes! (Canis dingo)
This species is endemic to septentrional australia and inner territories and some islands too, previously described as a subespecies of the wolf, recent researches has proven that their dna is divergent enough to classify them as their own species.
Maned Wolf, Aguará guazú, mbuaravachú or "leggy boi" (Chrysocyon Brachyurus; its name comes from the greek Χρυσός, golden. Κυον, dog and Βραχιον[?] small and finally Υρός meaing tail. About their common names... Homework for ye house xD)
This species of canid (me!) is endemic of south america, living primarly on the plains of brazil, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela and other countries. This animal is the biggest canid of america, with incredibly long legs that are very useful on long grass zones, the only canid unable to bark! But they instead make an unique sound called Roark like a roar and a bark fused up!
They have inspired many leyends, one of them very similar to the european werewolf.
....
((I dunno if faf will let me go further xD 7849))
Want a part 2? XD
All of these came from my memory solely haha ;3
