Very First Attempt, Critique? : Contains Mild Nudity

I've been thinking about getting into drawing Furry Fan-Art, such as the image I've attached. I was hoping some people could offer me some constructive critiques. Thanks for looking! This was my first attempt at making digital furry art.

Anyway.

I would strongly urge you to go grab a sketchbook and a pencil and start working on learning some human anatomy. Books like Burn Hogarth's Dynamic Anatomy and George Bridgman's Constructive Anatomy will do you a world of good to read and do master studies out of. I also suggest Louise Gordon's How to Draw the Human Figure; it was the book we used for my figure drawing class, and offers text that's a little easier to digest than Bridgman. I'd also suggest going to http://artists.pixelovely.com/ and doing their 'figure lessons' that start with several short gestures, and end up with a long drawing. If you can get a live model, that's even better (and preferred, actually).

Second, you might want to shift away from using MS Paint. There's a lovely sticky with all sorts of alternate programs you could use. I'd also possibly invest in a cheap tablet if you're really adamant about working digitally. Just know that your tools aren't going to inherently define you as a better artist and that you'll still have to build your skill, but they might help prod you in the right direction.

Rinz has pretty much hit the mark. Do not expect to improve your skill levels by working digitally at this stage. It would be far more advantageous to do some anatomical and gesture studies via pencil
and paper. Even a tablet will not help much at your level.

Life drawing is a phrase you will see repeated often when most people are giving serious advice on how to improve. This encompasses, real people, animals and household objects. You are essentially
trying to translate a 3d shape into a 2d image. To do that adequately, you will need a far stronger understanding of the fundamentals, depth, gesture, proportion, lighting. This image is little more
than a light outline comprising of some symbols and has no weight or structure whatsoever.

Two more pieces of advice, find a proper image host for this kind of material, like fur affinity itself. This kind of picture goes against tinypics TOS.
Secondly, lose the massive watermark. Its a sketch, thats all. Nobody is going to steal it. As you put more of your work on the web a watermark
that size will just come off as pretentious.

If you are serious about improving quickly, studies and sketches of real objects and people are the answer.

But as others have said, you really need to study anatomy, it's pretty obvious you lack knowledge by hiding hands and so forth.
People are telling you to draw form life, not because they want you to become some old coot that paints tea kettles and fruit for the rest of your life, but so you can learn to relate objects in basic forms and construct/deconstruct and reconstruct them.

Basically working from imagination is learning to build a visual library of stuff you work with to create "new stuff".

also, I don't see anything with him drawing porn first, aside from it being difficult. If that's what motivates him, then there's nothing wrong with doing it.

The first drawing is usually bad and terrible anyways and often forgotten, so it doesn't matter. As long as the OP draws more and combines with studies, it's all good.
