Or, how about this:

Instead of signing meaningless petitions to get companies to deny services to certain people (hint hint, this petition will ultimately do nothing), why not join a LGBT group and actually fight for the cause you believe in? Doesn't that sound a lot more constructive?

I always wonder if these online petitions really work. They seem easily ignorable by the companies and easily rig-able by... Anyone...
Either way, I signed with a fake alias.

Oh god ANOTHER one of these threads? OP, paypal is free to do whatever the hell they want. If you don't like it, don't use them. Or do what Xenke suggested, that's fine too. But going around with petitions and crying "make them stop the hate" is only harming your side.

If I had to guess, they're generally ignored because:

A) It takes absolutely no effort to join the cause. People who don't even care will be signing this thing.
B) Anyone can sign, multiple times at that (probably).
C) Lots of fake names.
D) An e-petition takes about as much effort to set up and distribute as running over a dead squirrel. It's not taken seriously.
