The short answer is "yes". Back when I was a kid, I had a crush on several anthropomorphic characters, notably Maid Marion of Disney's "Robin Hood", Mona Lisa from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle cartoon, and that feathery chick from Dinosaucers whose name I can never remember now, since I haven't seen it since I was about eight. Hell, a few very... interesting dreams involving furry game characters were how I figured out I was bi.

But I digress - I loved anthropomorphic characters for years, and then lo and behold, when wandering the internet one day I discovered the works of Mister Doug Winger, and from there I was plunged face-first into furridom via the good artists at VCL. I also blame Doug for my herm fixation, but that's besides the point.

I first heard of furries via an article mocking Sonic Passion. Then I realized that furries didn't just include people obsessed with Sonic characters, and that they had a whole spectrum of sick fetishes and obsessions to ruin childhoods with. When I found out that they were the laughing stock of the internet, I was pretty much, "lol furries" at the time.

Then I fapped to furry porn. I think I little bit of me died that day.

But hey, fursonas are cool and the art is really neat.

I have always been interested in "furries" such as those in well known cartoons, but it wasn't untill 2005 that i discovered what furries actually are and the fandom, to which i decided then, to be part of.

Well, when I was around four I loved beanie babies and all sorts of different animal things. I would often have fantasies of transforming into an animal and sometimes, even before I hit puberty, would wish for nothing more than to be an animal. Whenever I saw vampires on TV turn into bats, I would get all excited and be like "I wish I could do that!". I learned what furries were from one of my friends in Planet WCA about two months after I started getting turned on by transformation pictures. Shortly afterwards, I loved yiff art in general and eventually realised that I liked M/M pictures as well as Straight and F/F pictures.

So yeah, since birth I've been a furry.

I honestly was probly a furry from the day I was born and didn't even know it. I was usually the odd kid who thought that dragons were awesome regardless of what everyone my age said bout them being the evil creatures in fairy tales. xD

I only liked movies and stories with animal characters when i was younger and the lion king remains my favorite movie to this day, and I always played animal characters when I was younger, so yes I have been a furry since birth even though I just found out this year...

You know I had a friend that was obsessed with dragons in high school, I mean he would wear a dragon shirt everyday to school but I guess when he figured out what a furry was he stoped that real quick. He makes fun of furries but I wonder if he still like dragon like he used too or just hiding the fact that he is? I think because everyone hates them he just went along with everyone else and is just ignoring it because he honestly believes that the fandom is stupid and has some disturbing things in it.
