One way i see things for this is, that since it's not the "Norm" its more risky to look at, thus gets me a little more excited. You can compare it to people who have sex in public places. They don't want others to know, but the risk of being caught makes it more exciting.

I agree. I think the concept of impossible fantasy-creatures amplifies it, in my opinion. It's like mentally escaping into a world where anything goes. As long as people are healthy enough to know the difference between reality and fantasy, I would actually encourage going wild in your imagination, including with things I wouldn't approve of myself (I'm looking at you, MLP-porn). Just keep it to yourself. However, I can imagine that if you and a partner share roleplay fantasies together, that might keep things interesting.

There's just a kind of aura around everything where nobody gets offended because nobody really cares that sex and sexual topics are taboo in external society. So while we each enjoy each other's tactful company (and tend to kick out the dumb or tactless), there's a sort of limitlessness where I could be chatting about politics, then a new porn artist, then sport... etc. It's relaxed.

I guess this is more about my experiences with the yiff community rather than yiff itself but I hope the answer to yiur question is obvious from what I've said so far.

I'm a very live and let live person, as long as they aren't hurting anyone, or anyone's property, I think everyone should be allowed to do what makes them happy, and I frankly find it a bit arrogant and self-righteous for someone to make another do otherwise.
Personally, I like porn, and that includes yiff. I'm not planning on shoving that in others face, I can empathize with those who don't like how it portrays the fandom, and agree with them to a point that it's a bit stupid to throw it all around.
But at the same time it's also pointless to deny it's existence and say that those who do like it are perverted outliers in the fandom, because really, it does have a moderate presence, so how about we just realize it's there, take responsibility on both sides?
