What Do You Hope...

Xioneer

*insert random cleverness* XD
It seems a lot of people's wishes are basically Money, House, Family, Success in my field...

What did you expect? Furries are People too...

Money is a necessary evil? It's just the world we live in. You need it to survive and perhaps get some of the things you feel you need to be happy. And peeps often equate it with security, right? Heck, for health reasons alone...

A House? Everyone loves paying rent on their dumpy little apartment, right? Or splitting three ways with an insomniac gamer and a pot smoking rock band wannabe?

Family? Perfectly natural, in most cases...

Success? I guess it depends on your definition of "success", but Isn't that why most of us try so hard? We sure don't give it our all in hopes it will come to nothing near the end...

I think money is a tool, which can be used for good or bad, depending on who uses it. Like a hammer. It's also (usually) an IOU from the world for doing something to make it better. Like, I gave the world a bushel of apples, the world gave me an IOU that I can use to get something for myself later.
I also really dislike the phrase "necessary evil," since believing that there should be a "necessary evil" is quite literally believing that evil is necessary. It's likewise rather screwy that people who believe money is bad, evil, etc. still wish really hard for the things it gives them (security, travel, houses, etc.). Makes me wonder if they would be able to acquire more of it, if they didn't think that getting it was evil?

Houses... I own a house, but I would actually suggest that renting is better. You can often rent cheaper than a mortgage payment, the money you save can be put into mutual funds that grow faster than your house value can, and most importantly of all, renting doesn't tie you to a single location, so if the economy and jobs of your area collapses, or you find a better opportunity elsewhere, it's much easier for you to pick up and move.

Of course everyone wants a family. It's in our DNA. Only advice I can give for this one (which many furs seem to lack most, being all shy and timid) is learn to love yourself and be happy and confident on your own first. Ironically, it's once you get the confidence to be on your own that it makes getting and keeping a mate so much easier.

Success?... I'd say most of us never give it our all (myself included). We wish for success, and some of us try hard to achieve it, but most of us just wish for it, and quit shortly after we try reaching it due to it being too hard. Then we sit around, being all lazy and spending time playing video games, and resenting people whose lives are simmingly impossibly grand compared to ours :p

Soon I will master fursuit creation and become a maker of them~
I'll also open up my petsite in a few years and it'll be awesome~
I will get a nice house somewhere and fill it to the brim with fish tank~
I will have a pack of the coolest dogs around and I'll put them on Youtube to show off their training~
I will go to every anime and furry convention I can~

In the end though, I want to find that special person in my life and live with him until the end. We'll do all kinds of stuff together and explore the wonders of life. I'll protect him and he'll protect me and together we will be happy and content. And if so be it, we might have a family (however I can go either way on this one).

And on holidays I'll host parties and have the house all decorated up~ It'll be cold outside, but inside, it'll be warm and smell of pine trees and orange peels because I put them on plates inside the heating vent. Other times I might desire the smell of peppermint or cookies. It just will depend on the holiday being celebrated. Sure, the relatives may bicker like they usually do, but I'd do my best to keep everyone happy as I briefly share my glorious life with them.

That sounds absolutely beautiful. Whomever decides to stay with you will have gained a great companion.

Well, I want an exciting adventure filled with lots of things people would say are impossible in real life. Things like traveling through space and time, fighting monsters, solving mysteries, saving the world....I REALLY want that.

Still, since I know that's not the case, I hope to someday become a skilled video game developer and programmer, one who forms a game company that becomes well respected by even big league gaming companies like Nintendo. I want to make video games that are world renowned and well-recieved. I hope to also be an adept animator and make amazing cartoons and movies. I also hope to have a family of my own where I can relax and enjoy myself stress free.

I expect however, that I may become a video game programmer for some company and maybe become an indie developer living decently.

Do everything you can to live for the next... 50 or so years. There are technologies in the works that should (hopefully) become available by then that will allow for much of that, or at least an indistinguishable-from-reality simulation.

I just want to live a simple life, without stress and hassle. Enough money to buy necessities and visit friends in other countries. Lead a peaceful, but eventful and full life, with lots of free time for me, my friends, family and hobbies.

Also, I want a pet iguana and a koi pond in my yard. Preferably a nice waterfall and some kind of zen garden.
