What do you think about Micro/Macro?

Considering how common magic is in my own lore, size changing is fairly common to have, although rarely used unless a certain large character wanted to shrink to normal size to fit in say a house. Mostly because being big is commonly a disadvantage unless you are strong enough.

Only character who actively uses it in lore are the beings who created the universe.
Otherwise in rps, obviously my sona does coz he’s the common one I use and he is a villain for obvious reasons of being a demon, so he changes size of himself or others.

Ah, well I also have fantasy characters for it as well. However, everyone cares for the Bradanska family on DA (Grief, Scylla, Grau, and Ophelia). So they're my mascots. It's the opposite of my story, but then characters like Helga want to be normal size, for my others it's almost always meaning they're super strong and can shrug off bullets like nothing.

I have "aliens fucked our ancestors and now we're all hybrids that can manipulate matter with our minds", the best part is that this isn't the weirdest part of the Bradanska family, on the other side of the family are psychic witches.

I'm not exactly micro but i'm 2 foot and 10 inches so i made my oc the same height.

this is how i unintentionally got involved in that community and i'd like people to stop calling me and my fellow dwarves micros now.

It's fun to joke about now and then, but I don't have anything against it. In fact, as a kid I fantasized about being a giant monster and destroying my elementary school so I could just stay home and play video games all day.

Also, if you think macro and micro is seriously wrong even in sfw, then you must hate Marvel's Ant Man too right? Go ahead, walk up to Ant Man and tell him you think he's a disgusting creep, walking around changing sizes to fight crime and save the world. I dare you.

I think people tend to associate Macro/Micro with the Furry-centric Fetish of Crushing/Vore/Unrealistically Large "parts"/etc. over most generalized "larger" or "enlarged" things/settings/characters. For example, I would not call Ant-Man "Macro". Ant-man has a super power that allows them to manipulate size, but Macro is such a "fetish" word for me due to the community I'm apart of that calling him Macro automatically feels incorrect by definition. I also wouldn't consider large monsters inherently Macro (ex. Dragons, Titans, etc) because they're usually portrayed to be these gigantic terrifying beasts, and when portrayed in general art (not "Macro/Micro" specific) those beasts can be portrayed as large and menacing without displaying an uncomfortable sexualization of said intimidating factors. In short...I think people are uncomfortable with the fetish, and not the more generalized concepts. So I doubt they dislike Ant-Man lol.

Ah, I should clarify, that post I made was for comedic purposes mostly. Half the time I'm not being serious on these forums. I should put disclaimers in my comments in the future X3

No you're fine, sometimes I have a hard time picking up on tone so it's my fault.
I hope my response didn't come off as overbearing! D: >
The only thing you should worry about with me is if you genuinely dislike Ant Man. He's like...one of my favs haha

It's ok I guess?

I'm with Raever here, if it's just a giant hanging out (honestly, I wouldn't consider this macro), I can appreciate the picture. Same with micro I guess.
But there is no appeal in either. Anything sexual or fetishy (like crushing buildings or people whatever) cross the line into dislike. And micro characters aren't cute.

Not actually a dragon. Am catfish.
It's just absurdly big/small people. I don't personally like it, but I don't care if an acquaintance or a friend happens to, unless they're overbearing or weird with it. Find the whole thing kind of odd, really. Not a bad odd. Just can't understand the appeal for it.

Why can't giants just fight each other and punch down helicopters like in the movies? That's the problem, nobody just wants to have a good fight.

No idea, that makes awesome scenes of destruction, so yeah, totally sgreed, that would make epic battles!

Hmmmm, if it's a good fight you want, can I interest you in a battle as yourself (giant) vs me, a potal-casting teleporting (smaller 6 foot) kitten in the Furry Fight Club? <grins with glowing eyes and a playful smile...> https://forums.furaffinity.net/threads/furry-fight-club-ooc.1668041/ Could be interesting for stragety!

One good thing about being in the Sonic fandom, there's always superpower heroes for your baddies to slap around. Sadly most of them are super fast so you have to factor that in to be balanced in rp.

Huh, I mean I could have my character in that fight club, I just think I tried before and something happened where it didn't work. I prefer a relatively even fight, at least to where it's interesting.

It seems like one of the more common furry fetishes to me. Along with things like inflation, vore, and transformation. Not that any of these necessarily have to be fetishes in a sexual sense, but these were among my encounters with the fandom. I eventually learned to tune them out. Now, when I see macro/micro or the other things I mentioned, it rarely registers with me. I skim past it for the stuff I like.

I definitely have a thing for Macro/Micro. More specifically, I like the micro perspective. To me, there's just something so tantalizing about the idea of being totally at the mercy of a much larger individual who looms over you with such total power and control that they can do absolutely anything they want to you on a whim, and without consequences.

From out of the rain.
I mean when it comes to the fetish-y side of things it's not exactly my jam, but it doesn't need to concern me cause what consenting adults do in their smexy time is not exactly my business. I'd only request for the fetish-stuff to stay out of non-fetish areas really, as with anything.

in SFW context, I mean, there's a lot of media that explores this type of thing, e.g. Godzilla, etc but also with more 'positive' giants. Imo anything can be done well if it's written right.
