What is there to do in this fandom anyway?

Well, there's actually a lot more to it I'd say. It's about making and sharing anthro art first and formost (painting, drawing, books/literature, music, movies, stage/audio plays, fursuits, games), socializing through private or publing meet-ups, online chatting etc.

You can do the same as about any fandom really--like if you wanted to have furry themed tea-parties/sporting-events/whatever you could. While the main over-arching focus is definitely on the art, there's a wide assortment of people in the fandom who like other things too--so if there's anything in particular you'd like to do to, I'd say seek out those circles and give it a try :>! Like I tend to game a lot with my fellow furs personally, they're almost always really chill and helpful regardless of my skill lmao.

Second life also has a decently active furry community too from what I've heard, if that'd be your thing.

The good news: You don't have to go where that stuff is happening! There are content filters and similar tools to help you avoid that kind of content, and you can use your good judgment to avoid nasty people

Talk shit, go to parties and cons, get drunk, sexualize anthropomorphic creatures and art, get involved with the most ridiculous drama known to man, and that's really about it. Most other things is just an afterthough.

Manga reading club but I wouldn't go there if I were you, the room smells really bad cuz we have burrito Sunday in that very same room. The scent of burrito is heavy and the room doesn't have good ventilation, what a shame

Looking at art, drawing art, reading, writing, posting on forums, and cosplay or roleplay if you feel like it.

This is a creative fandom, and we're fans of a concept (anthropomorphic animals). What you make of that concept is up to you.

I've been around now for just over 10 years. How I spend my time is mostly drawing and making friends. I have used MUCKs and other forms of role-play in the past, but I don't really have the energy for it these days. It's mostly a way to make some friends and stay creative for me over a shared concept, and one that I've liked since I was real young.

It's certainly not the forefront of my life, nor the only thing I'm interested in. It is, however, one of the most consistent and deepest.
