Just a dumb, fun question. I personally would want to be a German shepherd or a deer. One leads a very plush life, where everybody loves me and cuddles me, and the other one is free to roam the country as they please.
What kind of animal would you want to be irl?

Perhaps a bird of prey of some sort. I like the idea of being able to fly at high speeds and being free.

I highly doubt most animals have it as easy and live a luxurious life such as your common house cat; so a house cat.

Neurologically I'd like to be something that feels emotion, songs and can form a bond or hatred to outside stimuli but understand it as well. The issue being what does that?
All animals have the ability, even non mammals but to really live is to feel. Picking my fav animal because it is crippled in many senses just to be....feels really defeating on choosing what existance you can have. I'd think to really enjoy your choice you have to pick something that not only lives long as hell but is wise and hard to kill.
Still to many options for me to chose.
