What scares you?

Just like title, what sends a chill down your spine or keeps you up at night?

Ill start, I am terrified of Cicada's! Those things send me screaming down the street like a little girl.

Heights. I can't stand on ladders without hugging it like a boy hugs his mom's leg.
Ha ha ha!! A ladder almost cost me my foot!! Been two years and I still can't walk right! You are completely justified in fearing ladders. More people are hurt on ladders than in motorcycle accidents.

For me. Ladders and gecko feet. Gecko feet just creep me out.

Heights used to bug me but I got a job where I had to get on a tall ladder all the time with heavy stuff and now they don't even make me flinch.

Needles or the feeling of getting needles put into my body, really loud thunder, large crowds of people, and people that I don't know touching me, are the biggest fears I have...

Oh also that all friction will cease to exist while I'm turning in my car, causing me to crash into a guide rail or fall off a cliff.

Edit: And now that I saw others say it and thought about it, I guess I'm also afraid of the dark, but it's not really a fear it just makes me really anxious and paranoid and from those emotions I get fear.

Yeeeeaaah, I used to work as a window cleaner and I'd have to use these long-ass ladders that leaned up against houses, just so I could get to the windows on the second floor. Lord save me if there were three floors. Did it for a while, too, and all it did was make me fear heights even more.

The first time I did it, I was stuck at the top of the ladder for a good ten minutes while a co-worker kept trying to comfort me and get me down, haha. After that and when working alone, I just had to close my eyes and not look down.

Funny, we both love western dragons, yet we're afraid of heights; I guess we just want a pair of leathery wings. To further screw with things I'm a bit of a thermophobe... Give me a thick pair of oven mitts or I ain't touching the thing!

The day the age gap in my family finally takes its toll. Besides my twin brother the sibling closest to my age group is 15 years my senior. My parents are in there 70,s(father late 70s mother early) I know one day it's just going to be me and my twin brother and that scares the hell out of me.

Bees and bee-like creatures. Anything that flies around and buzzes and appears to have a stinger scares the crap out of me. Even if they don't sting or have stingers, they can still horify me.
My parents actually use a Hornet's nest with nothing in it (or maybe dead hornets?) as decoration in our living room...I hate it.

Spiders, heights, loud noises (especially sudden loud noises), vomit/the action of vomiting (in grade 7 a girl vomited behind me, I actually accidentally shoved my desk into the back of my friend in front of me, jumped out and ran down the hall), and certain NSFW stuff or creepy strangers, yeah... I'm also scared of riding planes, even though I have been on them many times in the past. Once I'm on, I'm better, but I really don't like the thought of it much. (Probably because I don't like heights though).

I also find a lot of abandoned things to be pretty creepy. But I kind of find them interesting at the same time...

None of the traditional phobias scare me at all. Spiders, snakes, and rats are all adorable. I love small spaces and the dark. Being alone is the best. Heights are no thing. I don't believe in the supernatural. Shots don't hurt. The dentist chair is relaxing. I like clowns.

The things that scare me are subjective things found in other people. I think what I'm most afraid of is being lied to.

Large hairy spiders , thinking about what happens after death. Are we doomed to an inescapable void or is there something else afterwards? Oh and the thought that someone could be watching me right now...

Heights and aircrafts. Teleportation needs to be invented already :v

Why must I take a stupid plane to get to country A from country B quickly :c

Loud, sudden noises (especially fire alarms) are the big one. Heights to a certain extent, too, but it can be eliminated if I'm standing on stable ground—I can stand in a tall building and look out the window and down without freaking out.

Why worry
Nothing. Not trying to be a tough guy but I honestly can't think of anything that scares me very bad.

Ah, but what about the theory that if you are teleported they actually just disintegrate the real you then create a clone somewhere else. You would be dead and somewhere else there would be a clone just like you just waiting to die next time he went to walmart

The thought of dying.

I mean... if we go on to a better place for eternity, that's fucking terrifying. If we cease to be anything at all, that's just as terrifying.

The best I can do is to not think about it, but the time around my birthdays makes that difficult. I've gotten very good at not thinking about it though, for the most part.

I'm afraid of being completely taken over by schizophrenia. It scares me to see other people with my condition in the middle of psychosis. I would see them downtown just talking to themselves about clearly delusional ideas looking bewildered and scared, just completely out of it. Out of life. I've been there before and I was lucky enough to get the help I needed to come back to reality. But I still have problems and it reminds me that I'm a pill away from going back to all that again.

Not much else scares me as badly as losing my sanity.

wasps
big bugs/insects/spiders
really big fish (not even sharks)
falling/being unstable (fuck ladders)
loud/unpredictable people, especially if they're angry or violent
people waiting on me/being impatient with me
the thought that my life will never go anywhere no matter how hard i try
death

ok so only the last two things keep me up at night, but they're all scary dammit

My fears? Heights can send me shaking like a leaf, loud noises, shouting, and strangers all send more than just chills down my spine. Just thinking about it makes me shiver y:
