What was your first video game?

If you can remember, what was the first game you ever played that introduced you to the wonderful world of video games?

The first game I ever played was New Super Mario Bros on the Nintendo DS.

RamblingRenegade

Just a Horse Trying to Avoid Life's Manure
Pitfall on Atari

TrixieFox

Blood Rose Faction Leader
when I was 5 I started playing Galaga with my Gpa....I can't play it without thinking of him anymore

Marius Merganser

The Duke of Birds
You still have it, huh? Must be nice to revisit it whenever you want too, I'm sure it's a great feeling.
I was probably 4 or 5 and only vaguely remember playing with it. It was replaced with an Atari 2600 so Pong went to the basement in storage. It wasn't until a few years ago we found it again when clearing out my father's house.. I haven't tried connecting it so not sure it works. Still have the 2600, too. But I did revisit the old NES recently.

Well, that kinda sweet. Whenever I go fishing I always think of me and grandpa fishing. I miss him, but it's best to think about the happy times with him.
he was the only person in my family that would accept me no matter what...

Baron Tredegar

Master of Forgotten Lore
The original Lego Star Wars and the old Star Wars Battlefront games on the PS2 both with my brother.

Firuthi Dragovic

World Serpent, overly defensive
Super Mario Bros 2?

Honestly my memory's a bit hazy there, I know SMB 1 has been around four months longer than I have.

If we're looking for games I solidly have earlier memories of, you're looking at either Street Rod or Castle of Dr. Brain, both DOS games.

Inferndragon

Dragon Doodler with a Tail Snake
First game was Sonic 1 on the sega megadrive. My father had the system in his room. Played that a ton. Was scared about fighting the first boss...
Same issue with Rayman scared of the mosquito...

It's a little blurry but it's either SuperNova or Gradius 3 both on the SNES.
My earliest memory in my life is waking up from a nap to a severe thunderstorm and calming myself down by playing one of the two. I was...4?

Pomorek

Antelope-Addicted Hyena
As said in the other thread, it was River Raid on Atari. I must have been 6 y.o. at the time and I recall that initially I found this a little scary, to be able to control things on TV screen with some stick. A sort of cognitive dissonance.

My first games are a collection with sega genesis on an old chubby computer and "hidden object", I also had a game Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I even remember the name of the hidden object games. There were several themed games, about pirates, a medieval castle and a haunted house, damn, the house with a skeleton was my favorite.
Well, now I want to play again. I really love the first two Harry Potter games, by the way, I'm just crying, from the music and the atmosphere of magic:0

I Spy Spooky Mansion (1999), if you interest too.
