Oh my God, I remember I Spy Spooky Mansion! I'd play it on my grandma's computer all the time!
I love this game. I just found out that a deluxe version with 2 new rooms has been released.

If computer games count then it's Jumpstart: Kindergarten. If not then it's Pocket Monsters: Red.

I remembered something else. I love the first two Harry Potter games on PC. I had part 2 as a child, and I just adored its music and atmosphere. I played the first part a couple of years ago, and I assure you that this is one of those retro games that do not age with time. I feel sorry for those who don't play retro because of outdated graphics. They deprive themselves of miracles.
I cry from this music, so beautiful and magical.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, on a Nintendo 64 Emulator in my first PC

Laggy as hell because of the poor CPU of my first computer, but i love it, it's a tradition to me to win the game at least once every year since my first full walktrough

Super Mario galaxy was my first game, and I still absolutely love it, the soundtrack and environments never get old.

It was ratchet and clank for ps2. A darn fun game, even though I was awful at it, and kept overwriting my older brothers save cause I didn't know how to read at the time.

The first game I know of that I played was an emulated version of Super Mario Bros for the NES on the computer at the kindergarten I attended. They had these old computers where you where able to play that or an educative game of spelling.

But the first game i really apreciated as a kid was the first Starcraft, a cousin of mine had it on his PC and i really loved the graphics at that time.

If you can remember, what was the first game you ever played that introduced you to the wonderful world of video games?

The first game I ever played was New Super Mario Bros on the Nintendo DS.

I had some old crappy Atari 2600 games after updating from Pong (seriously!), but the ones that sold me on the potential was Battlezone and Missile Command.

I may have played Pokemon red first but does anybody remember Populous. The first one? No sorry the first one was black and white.... The second one in color. I played that every "take your kids to work day" since my dad worked in an office and had a great boss.

Inferndragon

Dragon Doodler with a Tail Snake
For me my earliest game I actually saw and gave a try was Gauntlet. The game where your life went down over time just to kill the dragon at the end.
I didn't get far as my brain was pretty bad. I was 6... Didn't remember much of it other than being amazed.
Took me ages to actually find it in the arcade and found it twice in my life time.
It didn't age well...
(I played it on my grandfather's windows '97 PC)

Pokemon Midori was my first actual game I actually played through and completed though.
Didn't collect all the pokemon as I didn't understand that was a thing.
It was in japanese too.
Unfortunately, that cartridge got stolen by a "friend" of a friend (Some foster kid)

Well Black & White 2 is unpurchasable. The only way to get the game now is to pirate it. (Mainly due to EA and Microsoft having a battle for who actually owns the selling rights)

I remember most of those games. Never played them myself.

One of the first games i vividly remember playing was Wolfenstein 3D or DOOM. I remember using the mouse to move and shoot and having to remember DOS commands to open it up. I played plenty of NES games as well, but those two are distinct to me as some of the earliest tactile memories of gaming.

Probably Halo 3 on the Xbox 360 when I was around 6. Me and my dad would play Halo together a lot when I was younger.

Oh I completely jumped track for franchises on ya sorry about that.

The first ever populous game was in black and white, not in color. Low res. I played the second Populous game at our around there same time I picked up red version of Pokemon.

May the ancestors look after you.
The first games I ever played as a kid would have been on PC, and they were either Need For Speed III: Hot Pursuit or Unreal Tournament 1999. I remember bugging my sister a lot to play Pokémon: Crystal on her GameBoy, which I'd promptly get lost, lose battles, and waste all her money and royally piss her off. Not sure where that chronologically fits in my gaming timeline. My first console was an OG Xbox, where the first console game I ever played was Sega GT 2002.

My childhood...it hurts. The memories of such simpler times and way better games.
