What were you almost named?

Samandriel Morningstar

The Morningstar
Pretty self explanatory.
What's the name you were almost given?
As for me,it was Hannah.

Ahkrin Descol

RELIC Specialist
Siegfried, kinder miffed I never got it to be fair, I'd never get confused at strangers yelling to other Alexanders xD

LindyHop

Bring me my brown pants!
My mom didn't have names picked out for me when I was born so I was named by my uncle who had wanted a daughter in the future so he had names already picked out. Then he had a son so things worked out well for all.

Inzoreno

The Gentleman Owl
I was almost Skylar and, honestly, I wish they had gone with that. I would much prefer Sky as a nickname to what I use right now.

Tao

Hare Boi
Dylan or Yonv or Yona. Yonv and Yona mean Bear. I'm glad I'm not named Dylan but my name is still in my tribal language and difficult to say for most people. Unlike Yonv, it doesn't translate so I don't even go by it.

Jazz Panther

Swing the Mood!
My parents have told me all kinds of stories about names I almost got. I was almost named Edward. I would have been okay with that until around 2008, when the first "Twilight" movie came out.

It was almost Nicholas or Alec. Ma and Dad decided to go closer to Alec.....though im dating someone with my name....and had two roommates with my name.....yeah wouldn't mind a differentiator. Thats why everyone just calls me Jack (none of the above names :p )

Sforzie

Professional Kuja fangirl
Would've been Michael. Ended up a girl. Oops.

I love short names like that super cool ^^

Yeah but when im dating an Al, and lived with two other Als, and have had another 5-6 Als in the same room at other times, it gets confusing. Thats how i ended up with Jack. Makes life alot easier, at least for me :)

Simo

Professional Watermelon Farmer
James or Joseph, which wouldn't have been so bad, all in all. The short forms, Joe and Jim always seem to have a simple, friendly sound to them.

SodaBubbles

I will deliver the explosion
according to my parents- Ruth (ehhh) for some people maybe. Not me. No one ever gets my real name right, instead of Rebecca I get Ramona, Rachel, and Roberta a lot. Plus a lot of people want to call me Becky. No thanks I already look 17. >_>part of why I changed it plus other factors. Currently I go by Damien and have for 4 years now.

Insanity can be such a beautiful thing.
Autumn (because I was born in October, my aunt has no imagination) Kilauea (my grandmother had just come back from a trip to Hawaii) Charlie (my dad really wanted another son and wasn't ready to let the name go) My mom wanted something strong and Irish, as I'm only 3 rd gen American, so my name translates to Strength in Battle in Light of Dawn, or Battle Light of Dawn in old Irish Gaelic.
