What would you change about your state?

Anyways, just for fun, what is the main thing(s) you would change about your state if you could?

Personally, I'm from Alabama, and I wish the guys around here were less aggressive and would stop trying to intimidate and dominate other guys every time they get the chance. Seriously, it's ridiculous. I can't tell you how many times I casually glance at some guy across the room, make eye contact for a half-second, and look away, and then look back ten seconds later to find them staring me down. It's annoying but that's what everybody does. I'm sure I'll think of more examples later, but for now, have at it!

American Owned signs - Irritate me so dadgum much, especially when it is a blatant manipulation of the truth. Even though you're lying to people I don't care for, that isn't right.

Confederate flags and signs - It isn't heritage. You use it because you are many kinds of bigoted, and don't tell me the Constitution gave the states the right to leave. You're an idiot.

Klan symbols - They're everywhere. That old biker dude that looks like he has the Triforce on his arm? No, it is just a Klan thing.

Remnants of the Democratic South - They still refuse to vote Republican, they remember Hoover even if only through their parents, but some of them are the most hateful little old people you will meet.

Other than those, I can't think of much. It has the problems many other states have, but we've got great beaches, great mountains, great cities, great food, great weather, and a lot of other great stuff.

Boys: short facial hair around the chin, no mustache
Costa sunglasses hung around the neck
Camouflage hat w/ a hunting company trademark
Hair combed in that stupid old Bieber look
Hunting company shirt or Polo (depending on wealth)
Blue jeans or khaki shorts (depending on wealth)
Chewed up brown steel-toe boots or loafers (wealth again)
Massive truck with a lift kit and a custom sound system

I feel like I'm the only one that doesn't try to blend in and actually be myself and it's sad.

You should stop by the island sliqq. I know it's out of your way from queens but the greenbelts lovely this time of year. Trails are fun to hike. Gateway park is still damaged from sandy but it's still a great place to hike!
pouch camp is great too! Our deer population is rising so you have a good chance of spotting one.

If you hike the greenbelt, make sure you check out Moses mountain. Not a real mountain, just a very tall hill with a beautiful veiw. The climb is a cakewalk.

Get rid of all the goddamn rednecks. Half the male population at my school seem like they're intentionally dressing up and acting like a stereotype except that they actually are rather than just pretending. I swear, if I find one more gob of chewing tobacco in a fucking water fountain...

Other than that though, the towns outside of the big cities (Charleston, Morgantown, Huntington, etc.) have absolutely fuck-all to do. I wish more businesses that actually offer entertainment (theaters, game stores, arcades, etc.) would move into the small towns.

I'm seeing a lot of "less redneck" posts, so to stray away from that... I guess I'd like some kind of better transit. I like the metro line in DC, because I hate driving in the city and it makes all my trips up there so much better. All the cool stuff goes down up there, and I have to slog through the horrible pre-beltway interstate traffic every time. If I could somehow hop a high-speed line from here to the main line I could get there quicker and not waste so much gas. Of course, I could just move up there, but the cost of living is crazy.
