What's a Monster you found Interesting or Terrifying?

I think that the creatures from A Quiet Place are quite interesting. Aliens from a world where they needed to have the kind of armour they have? What did they need protection from?

WHAT DID THE DEATH ANGEL'S NEED PROTECTION FROM?!?!?!

While it had its detractors, I like the smoke monster from Lost.
Kind of a shapeshifting psychic eldritch abomination able to take on the appearance of the dead. The sounds it makes are kind of a mix of mechanical and organic, really showing that it’s something unnatural.

I love Xenomorphs! As for terrifying... Siren Head was the only monster to really frighten me, enough that severe weather alerts made me anxious

I'm scared of animals from Stephen King's "Fog". I find them frightening and dangerous, but understanding that they are not monsters, but ordinary animals from another world adds realism to them. In general, I really like Fog, although I am not a fan of King's.
I watched the movie adaptation when I was 9 or something. And after that movie, I started to be afraid of almost everything. And the most terrible thing is that after that I was taken to spend the night on the lake. The weather was cool, fog hung over the lake, and the mountains on the other side terrified me. I watched the peaks of the mountains, with a shudder. I expected that at any moment a thick fog, the color of milk, could pour down from the top of the mountains. He'll crawl across the lake right towards us, and the creatures will kill me.
A stunningly atmospheric work.

Vampires. Classy, fucking vampires that dress like Victorian aristocrats or sexy seductresses and drink blood from wine glasses, served to them by their mind controlled slave.

Yeah, a pretty creepy concept and I'd love to see more of em.

The Twilight series doesn't exist, it can't hurt you

Right? As far as I see it, there is only one kind of real vampire and it's the kind that can blend into high society then stalk you from the shadows and drain every drop of blood from your worthless, human cattle body.

The Amarok is pretty interesting to me.
As well as the Wechuge.

If we're talking just from media alone...probably anything from Courage the Cowardly Dog.
King Ramses was one of the OG's but there was also that nightmare perfection creature whose voice still creeps me out to this day.

Also I adore the VTM franchise so any vamps from there are just beautiful to me as far as concept goes.

As a kid, I found all the old B/W (hey, that's the only kind of TV in existence at the time! shush, you young whipper-snappers! respect yer Elders! ;-) ) monster movies absolutely enthralling! The Mummy/werewolf (there WAS only the one, at the time!), Vampire(s) galore, and all the sea/river monsters, gigantic ants/tarantulas/lizards, too? Ahhhh, fun times indeed!
Our own Stories/Legends/Tales had 'em, but sadly I gave those too little respect/attention at the time, too busy stuffin' my face with whatever was being BBQ'd/Roasted over the campfire(s) and joshing around with the other kids.
As a young teenager my fondness for History but particularly Mythology began in earnest, and it wasn't a great leap from that into the whole concept of Cryptids/Cryptozoology (Think 'The Loch (sp fixed) Ness Monster, Bigfoot, The Abominable Snowman, etc..).
Modern day stories, but especially movies, have really taken things to the next level. CGI alone grants us newer, more insane/scary critters to check the closets and clear the undersides of our beds of, before sleeping! Some of the later 'Old School' still has merit, though! John Carpenters' "The Thing"? omgs... That one STILL gets to me!

Monsters, monsters, monsters, oh my!

The xenomorph things from the Alien franchise were amazing. Aliens (the second one) remains one of my favorite sci fi flicks. Beautiful design.
100% correct!
I saw 'Alien' in the theater when it came out, and then the amazing sequel while still in Active Duty, Marines! (the next weekend, as many people from my Battalion that could get tickets, attended! Its was AWESOME!).
To this day, I'd rather take a high dive into Mt. Doom, than ever get captured by one of those damned Aliens! Yikes, what a horrible way to go!
^O.O^!

It's not real? Says you. Even if it isn't actually a plesiosaur, Loch Ness itself could be housing something that people confuse for the monster. Perhaps a new species of fish that has yet to be discovered?

Don't forget about the chupacabra, which can drink the blood of a whole flock of chickens in one night. It scared me that the dogs didn't react to the chupacabraXD
I miss the X-Files days a bit. Cattle mutilations, bigfoot, crop circles-it was a wonderful time for monsters.

most people who don't know say Finding Nemo didn't come out 45 years ago, little do they realize it was a name tribute to the real Jaws, which was named after Steven Spielberg's lawyer
