When you are parking your car and....

You get your parking wrong the first time, so you try and correct it, then one weirdo starts watching you like you are doing something wrong, then another looks your way, and another, and soon you've got a whole crowd of assholes watching you as you're trying to park your goddamn car!

In these cases, I just want to yell at them,

"WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU LOOKING AT?!"

Can't a guy park his car normally without having the watchful eyes of a bunch of assholes silently judging him?!

Anyone ever been in this kind of situation? What would you do (or want to do since most people do nothing)? Discuss.

i park pretty well except when the adjacent car is parked like shit. -THEN i might have to make adjustments.
The biggest problem i have in my apartment complex is that the spaces are soooooo small. All it takes is ONE bad parking job and it throws off everybody parking down the line like a domino effect!

Edit: Have you thought that perhaps your audience is making sure they won't get run over? if i see someone pullout out or even just looking like they might, i hold still and wait before proceeding. it drives me more insane how oblivious parking lot pedestrians can be, especially kids.

I don't see how they would be worried about getting run over if they are not even close. They turn their attention to me only when I'm parking, not when I'm driving.

I get stares all the time. Comes with the territory of driving an ex-cop car. Not only is it a giant land yacht to park, there's push bars on the front and they attract a lot of stares. Its a mix between 'omg it's a cop, why are they here? Should I run? Should I nervously and not at all stealthily grope my bag of crack? How many warrants do they want me for right now?' and 'let's look around and be a bunch of damned rubber-neckers to see if we can see anyone getting in a fight or doing something equally stupid that the cops had to be called for'. And then you get the little old ladies that come up to you and want to tell you all about little Johnny B. And how he didn't pick up his dog's poop last week before you even get out the car. Its like a magnet to them.

I just roll my eyes and roll with it. Tis Florida afterall, what're you gonna do? (I spend entirely too much time having to explain that I am not a cop to old ladies and I really don't care what their neighbors are doing.)

If I could drive I think I would just ignore the judging.

OMG! That is just great. I've seen so many scumbags parking like this who deserve this.

lol, where are you that this happens? are you trying to parallel park or something?

ugh, i hate it when that happens! and then, if i'm over or on the painted line, i get a ticket. it's not my fault! bah...so, i usually try to find the big-boy parking spaces, where you actually have enough room to open your door to get out and not worry about your doors getting beat to hell.

This happens in any parking lot I park in. I never try anything fancy, but for whatever reason me parking always catches the attention of the people heading to their cars and the loitering fuckers in the parking lot.

Humans are naturally easily amused dumbasses. You were probably just something that was moving that caught their eyes. Like a cat with a laser pointer. I'd be more worried if they all started darting at you xD

haha, i think you're being a little too self-conscious...nobody gives a crap about people parking. "everybody is staring at me!!" no, they're not...nobody cares. even if they are, just ignore them and go on about your business like they aren't even there.
