Just wondering who listens to Dubstep or any other genres that are closely related to it. Post what your listening to at the moment or what your favorite song is, I would love to know and have a listen. :)

I like dubstep ^^

I am not super into it but the artists I like would be Skrillex, Knife party, Noisia, Excision, Datsik, Savant

I also like it mixed with rap or metal, but I know little about that :/

Yeah, when it's mixed with rap or hip-hop it's called Grime. If you like it you should check this Youtube channel out > https://www.youtube.com/user/P110HD

Posts grime almost everyday.

Oh wow, I can recall listening to some stuff from 03-04 not to long ago, but at that time, like you said, nothing was really an established genre. Most of the stuff we hear today was just called Electronic, Grime, or Garage. I can't really relate to that far back though considering I started listening to Dubstep around the years 07-08. It's cool to see a "Pioneer" of Electronic on here.

My first rave was in 95'. After that ive been listening to all sorts of electronica and have heard the genres expand and transform.

I prefer melodic ducstep, a la Seven Lions or Madeon.

Does 'Radioactive' by Imagine Dragons count as dubstep?

damn some of yall need to start actin like y'know.

Yeah, the genre has been over-saturated with a lot of bullshit and mislabeling but it never really died, there are plenty of great producers today.

This should give you some kind of idea of what bass should sounds like in dubstep

Knife party, bass nectar and skrillex might be fun to listen to but when you discover "real" dubstep and the wealth of great sounds from the UK future garage and 2-step scene you really hear the difference in quality.

I like how these guys fused some dubstep bass stuff into dnb.
