A very fair question. It seems like a lot of furry forums are slower, these days, as is the forum format in general. But I tend to like the format, because it gives me a chance to meet others in a variety of ways: via their profiles, introductions, posts, private messages...and to me, it seems better suited to finding people with whom you share more particular things in common than, say, random groups on Discord. I use Discord, but have noted that not many fill out profiles there, and that though I have met a few people, it's more random/hit and miss. And also, the usergroups tend to be much smaller.
So yeah, I'd like to see the forums grow, attract and retain new members, and some promotion couldn't hurt.
For my own part, I try to be welcoming, friendly and polite, and seek common ground; I always figure good manners cost nothing, and that the main reason I come to a furry site is for fun, as opposed to proving I'm right, or bickering, though I'm not against a good debate, here and again, and am in fact known to be pretty opinionated IRL...but on a furry forum, I'm more interested in building a sense of goodwill and community.
