So, along with the inability to recall any former desire to become that which you hypothetically are now, you also won't be able to recollect to pleasures of conveniences like instant food, flavorful food, air conditioning, overly salty and greasy food, cars, department stores where you just sit down in a motorize wheelchair/cart because you're too lazy to walk, etc.
I think ignorance is bliss. But do animals experience emotions? I will say that they are fully capable of feeling pain and discomfort, along with comfort or pleasure.
