I'd want to be a housecat, bust because people would bet me and I'd get to sleep all day.

But then I'd turn back so I could draw all day.

Wow, I wasted my transformation on laziness.

I like being human. I wouldn't mind living close to wombats though and feeling near to them. That'd be comforting to me. :]

Whoa.. best idea evar. How about staying human, but living the life of a house cat?

Opposable thumbs + speech + pettings + lazy all day/no work = win, amiright?

edit: NEVERMIND. Sorran's post made me realize how great it would be to have the freedom to kill whenever you felt like it, and not even have to worry about covering up the crime

This, so I could be big, fluffy Hige.

No, because I'd probably end up either a pet, an experiment, or dead. People don't much like rats.

First and foremost, I would be unable to appreciate anything I had gained which completely removes any desire and reason to do so.

Wait... aren't Homo sapiens under the Animalia Kingdom?

Hmm...animals don't have to pay bills, or worry about money at all. Right now, that's pretty tempting.

I don't know if I'd go with kangaroo (hunters. Do not want.) or a pet...possibly a cat, but really - how many cats DON'T have homes? Quite a few. With my luck, I wouldn't be a pampered pet, I'd be a stray. Maybe something like a lion...tigers are awesome, but not doing so good habitat wise. I rather like cougars...hmm.

So, yes, and probably a big cat of some sort.

I'll stick to being a dragon human, thanks. Being an ordinary animal would suck hard, and what's worse is you wouldn't KNOW it would suck, seeing as you wouldn't be nearly as cognizant as you are now.

So, givens the pros and cons, I don't see how you'd lose or gain anything.

Tis a valid point, but at the same time

So, along with the inability to recall any former desire to become that which you hypothetically are now, you also won't be able to recollect to pleasures of conveniences like instant food, flavorful food, air conditioning, overly salty and greasy food, cars, department stores where you just sit down in a motorize wheelchair/cart because you're too lazy to walk, etc.

I think ignorance is bliss. But do animals experience emotions? I will say that they are fully capable of feeling pain and discomfort, along with comfort or pleasure.

Do tail wags = happiness?
Or do tail wags = a Pavlovian response?

oi.. didn't want to end this with questions.

Well I would say they do respond positively and negatively to stimuli. I mean my cat jumps up on me knowing she will be petted. She hangs outside my room refusing to come in and then leads me to her dish when hungry. So...I can't say yes or no.

Uhm, no. Unless there's any official proof that dragons actually existed, because then I could burninate everything I hated.

But in all honesty I mean no offense to anyone else wishing to be an animal, but I fail to see why someone would want to. Call it blasphemy, but humans are the smartest and most powerful creatures on the planet, and they've always been able to break limits that animals never could. I think it'd just be painful to be an animal, because animals are NOT as super-smart and retardingly powerful as in that anime "Ginga Densetsu Weed" (free cookie to any non-Swedish or Finnish person who's heard of it).

But I'll say it again, being a dragon sure would be something. I've always wanted to put something on fire.
