Edit no she didn't die

TLDR: i found her as a stray when she was 5 months i had her for about 3 days before the lost dogs home came to pick her up she freaked out without me and cried nonstop and said "do you mind looking after her until we find the owners" i said yes

3 years later the owners went to the lost dogs home which by that point she had spent most of her life with me but i had to legally give her up

damn didn't edit fast enough
TLDR: i found her as a stray when she was 5 months i had her for about 3 days before the lost dogs home came to pick her up she freaked out without me and cried nonstop and they asked "do you mind looking after her until we find the owners" i said yes but never got a call saying the owner was found

3 years later the owners went to the lost dogs home which by that point she had spent most of her life with me but i had to legally give her up

Dude that sucks even more...You should have been able to keep here after that long.

i was a broke uni student at the time living on his own and when the dogs home (technically a government body) said "they can take you court" i backed down

i will be getting a husky sometime soon though

Anyways I'm pretty happy they got to come home today before they got sent to foster care. I just moved to a new apartment and they take pets but I don't have the pet deposit yet, so I found a nice person to help. Hoping I stop being financially ducked long enough to pay my debt down and have savings, including pet savings, so I can keep my small family together
