Part of what makes playing each game fun for me is trying new critters or gradually working towards getting my favourites down the line and trying different methods with those.

Zangoose
Jolteon
Tropius
Lapras
Skarmory
Rapidash or another Fire type.

Around the 200 hour and "screw this, I'm playing Bully" mark, I normally have more than six main Pokemon and try to keep them all similar levels and switch them about.

Most of those are because I put A lot of time in em. I own all of those.

Kinda can't let go of Nidoking since I used him so much in the old games.

I usually switch out pokes now and then, so it's all randomly decided from a pool of 'favorites' heh.

Gengar, pikachu, ponyta, umbreon, some random not-pokemon dragons, a feraligatr, and some pichus were there.

Had a good team on my gold version. I made it so my level 60 or so Snorlax could take out the Elite Four and Red, solo. Always hit last, but it was a beast.
