this new year is going to feel very odd for me, i did not like a lot of events in 2022, but at the same time, i want another 2022, as many things i like rest in this year, and are seeming to go away in 2023... a lot of older things i like seem to have choose this year to die, break, fall apart, or otherwise degrade,

even my plans for tomorrow seem to mirror this, as i am going to try and install a new OS on my old(ish) windows 8 laptop before its unsupported, as i don't trust them not to kill the computer like how flash choose to not even start after a set date, and this leaves a lot to figure out

... new years 2022-2023 seems to be more like a damage control to me, rather then just another year, or the normal optimistic plans people set during this time
